As
a member of the Board of Supervisors I will:
- Remain in regular contact with the residents of the
district and stand ready to solve problems that might
arise. Running a small business has taught me there are
no small problems.
- Fight to end the epidemic of violence and crime among
San Francisco's youth and young adults. The lives of kids
with great and grand futures are being destroyed, as a
city we have the ability and an obligation to address
this problem. We must make sure that youth and young adults
have acces to the types of activities that truly interest
them. Most of our youth regardless of race and class are
growing up in the era of a dominant Hip Hop Culture. I
have been a leader and a proponent of this culture and
have worked to see that youth spaces that have been created
are aware of its importance.
- Work to unite and focus our elected officials. City
Hall is too often divided by petty bickering and narrow
politics. I will use my experience and diverse background
to bring together our City's leaders.
Through Civic Thought, the idea of what is good for the
City is good for each district, and Civic Action, making
that idea a reality, we can make San Francisco an example
to the rest of the nation that diversity is strength.
I will not be a supervisor that is only concerned for
one or two elements of the district and of the city. I
passionately believe that it we must look at the entire
CIVIC state of the city in order to make the best decisons. |
